Hack into a good night’s sleep for a happy & fulfilled day

A good night’s sleep is a make or break deal for an active busy day. Having completed your busy day, draw in your curtains, switch off the lights and your cell phone in this electronically driven world, attempting to switch off your tired mind. 

Imagine getting comfortable under your soft tantalizing covers, and falling asleep instantly! Now doesn’t this sound perfect? 

From personal experiences and a number of sleep studies we have formulated one solution for all your sleeping problems 

The routine: 

If you’ve practised sleeping in the same position in bed since childhood, you might be able to slip in easily into a deep dreamy state of sleep. While having a ritual can fix you nocturnal creatures and elevate your daytime mood and energy. 

A light meal:

 An empty stomach makes noise in the belly and the mind. It is difficult to turn off your brain if you haven’t had a good wholesome meal. Choose a light meal that allows your mind to focus on sleeping rather than digesting a heavy meal. If you don’t have a dedicated place to quietly have a meal, try renting this dining table. It is value for your money and also looks pretty chic!

Cleansing:

A quick warm shower and slipping into your crisp and clean pyjamas will ease your body. Add scents to your bath to make it a relaxing experience. 

Prepare ahead:

Lay down your clothes, charge your gadgets, plan your meals, jot necessary chores and goals for the next day. Choose a quiet place to collect your thoughts, perhaps try a cool new lounger, which you can find here. It will quiet your mind while trying to fall asleep.

Giving thanks and gratitude for the day:                                                      

Soaking in all of your day’s good or bad experiences, encounters and challenges, saying your affirmations will aid peaceful, uninterrupted sleep. Or meditate if you wish to. Sit or lay down in silence, with your eyes shut. Your body will prepare to wind down automatically. 

Sleeping space:

It would be so annoying if your phone rang when you’re half asleep right? Better to put it on DND mode and keep it away. And lastly, make sure your bed should be nothing but comfortable, try this one or this one. It’s comfortable, stylish and a bang for your buck!
